WESTconsin Credit Union Welcomes Melissa Kraemer to Business Lending

Hudson, WI—WESTconsin Credit Union is pleased to announce Melissa Kraemer as Senior Business Loan Officer working from the company’s Hudson office located at 1601 Maxwell Drive. Kraemer started her career in the financial industry at Riverside Bank where she worked as a Commercial Lender. Over the years, she advanced her career in lending and most recently worked as Senior Vice President/Director of SBA at Sunrise Banks, N.A.

Kraemer has a degree in Financial Operations Management from Dakota County Technical College. Her community involvements include coaching and serving on the River Falls Volleyball and Girls Youth Basketball boards, and being locally active with both the Cub Scout and Girl Scout organizations.

Kraemer and husband, Craig, have two grown children attending college. In their free time, the family loves spending time outdoors, boating and four-wheeling. Free Home Buying Seminar - Hudson

HUDSON, WI— An educational home buying seminar is being offered to the public on Wednesday, January 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the WESTconsin Credit Union Hudson Office, 1601 Maxwell Drive. Presenters include Vinny Cognetta, Mortgage Loan Originator, WESTconsin Credit Union; Mary Behling, Mortgage Loan Originator, WESTconsin Credit Union; Casey Mensing, Vice President, WESTconsin Title Services; Todd Peterson, REALTOR®, WESTconsin Realty; and Pennie Peterson, REALTOR®, WESTconsin Realty.

The presenters will provide information about the home buying process from pre-approval to closing.

Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given away. Seating is limited—register early! There is no cost to attend, and you do not need to be a WESTconsin Credit Union member. Meet Cindy Leonard: Founder of the Sharing Tree in Hudson

Making Back-To-School Fun for Everyone

Cindy Leonard’s family founded the Hudson Sharing Tree in 2002 after an encounter Cindy had with a custodian in Stillwater, Minnesota, who was registering his kids for school supplies in their local Sharing Tree program.

“On his registration I saw that he was a Hudson resident, and we couldn’t serve him,” She recalls. “I promised him that this program would be in Hudson the following year, and it was.”

The Sharing Tree is a school supply program for students that attend schools in the Hudson School District. It provides everything from pencils and color markers all the way up to backpacks and calculators, and Cindy has teamed with WESTconsin Credit Union in Hudson to acquire, store, and distribute the supplies.

“WESTconsin’s commitment to us, by allowing me to have storeroom space, probably saves me $1,600, a year,” Cindy says. “And that’s not to mention the time they give volunteering.”
