WESTconsin Credit Union Announces Plans for Altoona Office






WESTconsin Credit Union with seventy-seven years of serving members and their communities, sets growth plans in Altoona. Lora Benrud, WESTconsin’s Chief Executive Officer, announced that the site building plan was recently approved by the Altoona city council, and that construction plans are underway for breaking ground in late summer and opening in April 2017.

The credit union selected Chippewa Valley-based Hoeft Builders as general contractor and construction manager. The new 8,000 square foot facility will be on the corner of River Prairie Drive and Bluestem Boulevard, right off of Highway 53. This will be WESTconsin’s fifteenth office offering full financial services. The credit union presently has locations in Amery, Baldwin, Barron, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Ellsworth, Hudson, Menomonie, New Richmond, Prescott, River Falls and Spring Valley, Wisconsin. Additionally, they operate five fully-functioning high school credit union offices that are located in Amery, Hudson, Menomonie, New Richmond and River Falls.
