“Financial Fitness Day” Supports State & National Fin Ed Programs
Employees at WESTconsin Credit Union are wearing jeans today in support of financial education programs. The National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) invited credit union organizations to hold a “Financial Fitness Day” fundraiser on April 6, 2016 to kick off National Financial Literacy Month and National Credit Union Youth Month™. This initiative will raise funds for the Foundation and the Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation in support of their financial education initiatives.
Donations made as part of the initiative will be split 50/50 between the Foundation and the Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation.

WESTconsin to Launch New Fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

WESTERN, WI—WESTconsin Credit Union is set to launch its newest campaign to fundraise for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. WESTconsin’s SWEETheart Campaign will run February 1-29. Credit union members and members of the community are invited to show their support by purchasing a paper heart icon for $1, a candy bar for $2 or a milk chocolate butter heart for $5 at their local WESTconsin office. Online donations will also be accepted at westconsincu.org. The credit union’s goal is to raise $7,500 through this campaign.
WESTconsin partners with two Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals: Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, MN, and Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI. Funds raised at WESTconsin’s Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls offices will be distributed locally to families and children in need with the help of Gundersen Health System. The remaining funds raised are used for research, expansions projects and providing assistance to families who may be struggling while their child is being treated at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare. In 2014, nearly 1,000 children from western Wisconsin received treatment from Gillette.
